Snatch (5×2 Three second pause at the knee)

Annie “Phat” Franny (Time)

40-30-20-10 for time:

Double unders
Sit ups

5 Thrusters between each round 135/85

Coaches Notes:

I’ve always loved Annie because I love sit ups and double unders.  And, you can finish it relatively quickly when those are two movements you do well.  But, what happens when something becomes “too comfortable”?  Well, we gotta get comfortable being uncomfortable again so that our bodies can adapt and get the best possible work out for the results we are after.

Okay, so for some of you, maybe Annie wasn’t already your fav.  That’s okay, we are changing it up for you a bit today!

P.S. Let the Duo’charged Throwdown training begin everyone!  Why a partner Throwdown this time?  Because it’s a ton of fun and we think you’ll really enjoy it.  Start looking to see if there is someone you’d like to partner with and ask them.  We will also help in the match up department. So, if you are the shy type, no worries,we will hook you up with the right person.  We will also help you determine whether or not you will be in the scaled division or rx’d.

Side Note:  It is okay to partner up with a friend if they are from another box.  This is an “invitational event” and a friend of yours is a friend of ours.

Some Event Details You Should Know For Now:

We are excited to run this two person fitness competition and about the programming involved.   Important to know before you find a partner:  all teams must be of the same sex, as there are men’s and women’s divisions.

RX TEAM RECOMMENDED STANDARDS
Note: these are only minimum recommended physical standards.  THEY ARE NOT THE MOVEMENTS & LOADS THAT ARE IN THE EVENT!  If you can do ONE of all these things, you should have no problem completing the workouts in this event.  Disclaimer:  That is not a fact, as these are more guidelines than anything.   We will have time caps, of course, so meeting these standards does not guarantee that you’ll be able to complete all movements or workouts that you will face.

Men RX both partners should be able to do one rep:

  • Clean & Jerk 135lbs
  • Thruster 135lbs
  • Deadlift 250lbs
  • Snatch 115lbs
  • Double Unders
  • Rope Climb
  • Chest to Bar Pull Up

Woman RX both partners should be able to do one rep:

  • Clean & Jerk 80lbs
  • Thruster 60lbs
  • Deadlift 150lbs
  • Snatch 55lbs
  • Pull up with no assist
  • Double Unders
  • Rope Climb

I repeat, this does not mean that is the maximum load you may have to lift.   Very general guidelines.

Again, this is for those doing the Rx’d divisions and not the scaled divisions.
